As the London correspondent for the national Dutch television news, NOS, Tine has reported on European issues and major British news stories, and she has interviewed world leaders. For the BBC, she has appeared as a panel member on such current affairs programmes as Dateline London, Copy Snatchers and Any Questions. She also presented her own programme, What the European Papers Say, for Granada Television.
She was awarded the Herman Wekker Prize for outstanding journalism in the English-speaking world. She is a former president of the London Foreign Press Association and has been a jury member for the FPA Press Awards. She has given talks to various organisations in Britain and abroad, as well as taking part in the induction of press attachés for the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. She has chaired numerous major international conferences on subjects such as the European Gas Industry, and Flooding and Climate Change. She delivers media training in English, French and Dutch.
Bringing this wide journalistic experience to her media training Tine can give a rare inside view of how interviewers work and what they are looking for. And of course, she knows what it feels like to be interviewed.
